Over the Hill on PS5
Checked 17 October 2026. Updated 2026-10-17.
PlayStation 5 is announced for 2027, with an official PlayStation Store listing at concept 10017187. A listing is not a released game. The console announcement confirms physical Premium Standard and Collector’s Editions, while the later Steam post supplies the 2027 window.
What is confirmed
PlayStation 5 is one of three console ports planned for 2027, alongside Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. Strelka Games is the console publishing partner and Serenity Forge handles the announced physical editions.
The press release lists a Premium Standard Edition with the physical game, window cling and digital soundtrack. Its Collector’s Edition list includes the physical game, window cling, rocking dashboard car standee, embroidered patch, lanyard keychain, winched collar pin and vehicle poster. These are announcement contents, not a promise that every retailer’s final package is identical.
The PC game launched on 14 October 2026. The Steam download is the current PC route, and DualSense support is listed for that build.
What remains unresolved
The 2027 window has no confirmed month or day here. The official PlayStation listing is an announced product page, not evidence of release or a verified checkout price. The PC no-pre-order statement must not be applied as a permanent console pre-order rule.
The official general FAQ says yes to cross-play, but it does not document a tested PS5-to-PC session or the final platform matrix. Local co-op is described as not feasible at the moment, with no console-specific split-screen commitment.
